Bear Bachmeier Leads BYU to Victory Over Iowa State

Quarterback Bear Bachmeier was the catalyst in No. 8 BYU’s 24‑10 win over Iowa State, preserving the Cougars’ unbeaten streak. Bachmeier’s dual‑threat ability was on full display, as he accounted for multiple touchdowns both through the air and on the ground. He connected on a short 5‑yard pass to teammate Kyler Kasper, extending BYU’s lead in the second quarter, and later added a rushing score that helped seal the game. The Cougars’ offense, bolstered by Bachmeier’s playmaking, capitalized on Iowa State’s depleted running back corps, exploiting gaps and maintaining control of the clock. Defensive adjustments limited the Cyclones to just ten points, while BYU’s special teams contributed with solid field position. The victory marks another milestone for Bachmeier, whose performance has drawn attention from national outlets and solidified his reputation as a rising star in college football. Fans and analysts alike praised his poise under pressure and his ability to execute in critical moments, signaling a promising season ahead for the BYU program.
